m358 1920s Oak Mantel with a large mirrorAn elegant 1920s fire surround whose main feature is the large bolection moulding that frames the whole piece. The moulding starts from simple, block feet continues to the top of the legs and across the header where a central plaque with carved edges adds a focal point. Within this framework the recessed fire opening is formed from plain fillets with a horizontal moulded strip above. A narrow frieze section is topped by a bowed central shelf which has a large mirror in the recessed panel above it. Condition: EXCELLENT Overall Width 51 inches ( cm )
