Late 1930s Mahogany Mantel
A splendid, late 1930s mantel in mahogany with scalloped shoulders and a central raised platform shelf decorated with intricate moulded details.
The fireplace opening has a shallow arched top framed with a small bolection. The corners of this moulding are circumscribed cross mouldings (a cross with a circle round it).
The whole outer shape of the mantel is skillfully framed with a moulded strip.
