1920s Walnut Mantel

A beautiful Walnut mantel from the mid to late 1920's.

All the individual pieces of wood feature a radiused edge from the block feet, the legs with additional outside blocks, rounded shoulders and central raised frieze block.

The moulding around the fireplace opening is in the form of a flattened oval giving an echo of the radiused finish elsewhere.

The central block of the frieze is in Burr Walnut with a hand carved pattern of leaves and flowers that blends to the moulding around the fireplace opening.
