An imposing Edwardian Pine Mantel
of unusual proportions with an oval
bevelled mirror surrounded by gesso
swags, bows and garlands.

The main shelf is arranged on bold
sweeping leg brackets which are
fluted and run all the way down to
chamfered capital over the block feet.

Over the legs the elevated upper side
sections end in protruding shelves
supported on twin brackets below
which are panels of gesso detail.

It would suit a cast insert or canopy
on legs.
