An Arts and Crafts Fireplace Mantel with an octagonal cental panel
set above the breakfront frieze shelf set on a pair of brackets.
It has grooved decoration to the sides inset with chamfered pegs
as in the Tudor style. The moulded top shelf has cockbeaded
decoration mirrored on the central strapwork
