Edwardian Style Mahogany Mantel

A well crafted mahogany reproduction of an Edwardian style mantelpiece made by J + L Surrounds of Nottingham in the 1980s.

The block feet, fluted legs and raised
central frieze panel are framed with ribbed mouldings and topped with an ample 8 inch deep shelf.

Mahogany Edwardian Mantle

A classically inspired Edwardian mantel c. 1908 with ribbed, free standing columns rising from extended foot blocks and supporting the deep shelf on turned capitols.

The opening is framed by a raised moulding which is in turn echoed by the shaping around the recessed frieze.

Oak Edwardian Mantel

An imposing fireplace mantel
made from lovely grained oak
which supports large curved
brackets that go right down to
the foot blocks. The mid shelf
runs virtually the full width of
the mantel and is supported
by two fluted brackets. The
bevelled oval mirror is
unusually large and in good
condition. It would originally
have had a tiled cast iron
fireplace insert with
matching hearth tiles.

Edwardian Mahogany Mantel

A glorious Edwardian mantel with a bookmatched,
quarter veneered frieze in flame mahogany with four
rosettes at the corners. It has gothic tracery under
the deep top shelf and a slightly rounded mid-shelf
supported on three scrolled brackets. There are fluted
half round pilasters at the edge of the legs and
continuing up and over the frieze.

Edwardian Walnut Fireplace Mantel

An Edwardian Walnut Fireplace Mantel with six impressive brackets
supporting a moulded shelf with a wonderful
knotty grain. The moulding to the feet and
inside opening detail is very crisp and sharp.
The rebate is 1.5" only and is probably
made for a cast iron insert.
There is evidence of an overFireplace Mantel being
fitted onto the shelf using wooden plugs.

Edwardian Mahogany Fireplace Mantelpiece

A tall elegant Mahogany c1910.
It gas a recessed oval bevelled mirror
above an impressive carved shelf
adorned with rosettes joined by
fluted decoration. The shelf is supported
by a single deep bracket. A Chunky
top shelf finishes this imposing Chimneypiece
which has a 2.25" rebate for a tiled back panel.
