Hearth sizes
Originally most pre-war Fireplaces would have had
hearths laid flush with the wooden floor.
In general they were about 48" wide and 18" deep.
Current gas and solid fuel regulations now stipulate
that a 2"(50mm) raised hearth is required.

Our hearths can me made in large sizes so
that the Fireplace Mantel stands on it, small so that the Fireplace Mantel
stands on the floor or somewhere in between
(either the Fireplace Mantel or the hearth is cut out).
The standard sizes are small (39.5" x 16"in 4" tiles)
and large( 54"x15") in 6" tiles but they can
be made in any size or shape on request.
