| The Palmer rfpi021 The Palmer is a concave fireplace insert. It is suitable for mantels of lower height and deeper rebate (5 inches minimum rebate) of mantels such as the original stone surround shown or M036 (now sold). This style of fire surround was very popular in the 1930s in houses with external chimney breasts and flues where it's proportions matched that of the wider flat walls. The insert is shown here with Teapot Brown bullnose opening tiles and outer frame with our c20 mottled tiles for the curved finger tile sections and hearth infill. The openings could also be in stepped 8 inch by 4 inch blocks. For wider mantel openings the framing could be done in 6 inch tiles along with 6 inch by 4 inch bullnose openings in any colour combination from our range. Standard size 42 inches wide x 36 inches high. £1040 To burn solid fuel a stool grate is also required All tiled products are manufactured in |

20th Century Fires reserves the right to make minor design changes to the reproduction inserts or Fireplace Mantels shown on this site. Our tiles are reproduced using similar methods to the original items and the degree of shade variation is inherent and desirable. Tiles are manufactured to bs6431 and are not guaranteed against crazing. Whilest most tiles do not normally craze, the thickness of glaze necessary to reproduce the very shiny Victorian colours may occasionally cause this to occur. It does not affect the serviceability and actually achieves a truer degree of reproduction effect. |
