1930s Tiled Fireplace Insert

A 1930's tiled insert in a dark brown / beige mottled glaze.

The arch above the fireplace opening is made from five faience blocks with two ribbed springers and a ribbed keystone giving an Art Deco sunburst feel to the design.

Above the arch is a recessed frieze with light brown and two tone green finger tiles all framed round with the richer brown colour and a lighter vertical stripe to either side.
