1930s Tiled Fireplace

An all tiled fireplace from the 1930's with a recessed fire opening made from 8 inch by 4 inch blocks.

It has a single step to the shoulders, the shape of which is followed by the use of two different shades of mottled tiles ( orange / brown and straw / purple-brown.)

The original hearth was damaged beyond repair butsome of hearth tiles have been salvaged and a small hearth or hearth feature could be made from these.
