Cast Iron mantel and Fireplace Insert

A late Victorian Cast Surround and Fireplace Insert with Cast on Bars. The mantel is heavilydecorated with a central shield and surrounding cornucopia. Pateira fill the top blocks and intertwined ribbons, sheaves of corn and wild berries cascade down the legs. The decoration is extremely fine and contrasts with the plain insert.
