Victorian Cast Iron Fireplace
An original cast iron tiled combination Fireplace
c1885 shown with an original set
of tiles but r
eproduction spacer tiles. The 16" extending
hood of Art Nouveau design
is original as are
the bars and ash tidy. (The fender shown is
an extra item)
It was made by the Etna Iron Foundry in Salford
which was founded by James
Bateman in 1782.
This combination Fireplace is unusually large
and complete and is a very rare
find. The quality
of the casting is extremely good and the original
tune lined
Fireplace tiles are in fantastic condition.
Other Fireplace tile sets are available if required.
A hearth to suit will be made.
