Art Deco Cast Iron Fireplace

An Art Deco cast iron, enamelled fireplace in a straw enamel mottled with a darker orange/brown flecking.

The design has a stepped back fire opening with a raised rib framing and single stepped shoulders either side of a raised central block.

The cast iron hearth also has a raised edge and the original fret in a similar mottle is also available.

1920s Cast Iron Fireplace

A 1920s cast iron bedroom fireplace in cream enamel with pinkish mottling. It comes complete with its original cast iIron fireback and a rare flat plate hearth. The casting relief is typically Art Deco with steps around the fireplace opening and on thwe frieze.

1930s Marble Fireplace

An intricate 1930s fireplace made from green Connemara and Botticino Classico marbles. The bold sweeping curve of the hearth is mirrored in the fluted curves of the connemara backed recess in the header block and twin circular columns to either side. Each panel of Botticino is subtly framed by a line of Connemara marble. A fire frame and matching heat plate for the hearth can be provided.

1930s Bedroom Fireplace

A 1930s dropped shoulder bedroom fireplace
with 4" raised kerb to the hearth. The darker
brown mottled glaze of the kerbs is continued
up to the wave patterned opening blocks and
across the top of the fireplace opening into a
partially finger tiled ziggurat motif.

1950s Art Deco Fireplace

An Art Deco style fireplace from the early
1950's made from beige/brown background
tiles with a cloud effect arch over the
stepped opening tiles. The arch is mirrored
in the hearth detail to give a recessed well
in front of the fire opening. The dropped
shoulder design is enhanced by darker
brown curving finger tiles replicated in the
vertical, mint green and brown stripes in
the body decoration. The central pattern
is topped by a large overhanging fluted
and bowed block tile.

1920s Art Deco Marble Fireplace

A superb example of a 1920s marble
fireplace removed from a large
Edwardian home near Bolton
Lancashire. It is made from three
different marbles, a coral marble for
the frieze, green Connemara
marble around it and jet black Belgian
marble for the fireplace edge detail.

The fireplace has drop shoulders and
a recessed fire opening. Inside this
the insert is made from polished
stainless steel that curves back even
further to the fireplace opening.
The chamfered mitred detail throughout
is of outstanding quality. The large curved
hearth kerbs in the black marble are
very rare.

This fireplace is suitable for a solid fuel
or gas fire. The small tiled area in front
of the fire opening could also be adapted
for a Baxi type underfloor draught fire.

Condition: VERY GOOD
It has had some minor repairs over the years

Art Deco Fireplace

An imposing Art Deco fireplace
c1925. The main body is made from
three large glazed faience slip-cast
blocks with a brown glaze. It has
ribbing running around to the recessed
fireplace opening and a stunning art
deco motif in the panel above. It
comes complete with its original
matching eight piece hearth. The
fireplace is suitable for solid fuel,
but could have a gas fire fitted.

No repair work has been necessary
on this fireplace

1930s Marble Fireplace

An Art Deco Marble Fireplace with
green Connemara marble framing a
delicious Arabascato facia and hearth.
It is an angular art deco drop shoulder
fireplace design with a chamfered
hearth complementing it.

The Connemara marble is heavily
grained, more mottled than striated
and the Arabescato of the ivory
background has deep purple veining.
There is slight discolouring especially
towards the back of the hearth but in
general the condition is very good.

Art Deco Marble Fireplace

An rare Art Deco Fireplace c 1933 removed from a
large 1930s detached house in Styal, South Manchester.
It is an imposing Fireplace made of an unusual golden
veined form of marble with a crystalline texture with
belgian black marble fingers .

It has trims and 3 piece mantle sections.
The small hearth incorporates a heat plate in the
back of the central panel. 3 black slips bring the opening
in to a trim of your choice (chrome, brushed steel etc.)

The tan colouring camouflage effect is
softened by the chamfered opening,

Art Deco All Tiled Fireplace

An very special All Tiled Fireplace with
ribbed pale blue/green opening tiles and
an embossed floral detail tile in the centre.
The pale tiles are subtly mottled cream, green
and pink. The finger detail tiles are mottled
two tone blue as are the the edging tiles
on the hearth. It has a break front
which steps back and then up with
extraordinary shoulder tiles.

Late 1930s Art Deco Marble Fireplace

A late 1930s Fireplace removed from a mansion
in Silverdale, Lancashire. The ultimate Art Deco
Fireplace comprising rich veined Canamma Green Marble
embellished with cream coloured Onyx blocks.

The mantlepiece drops into the corners and the
hearth steps upwards in three sections with a
heat plate set into the middle section.
The opening is 29"x27" but with a black basalt
or granite insert as original the opening reduces to
16" x 22" to take a solid fuel grate
or a Decorative Effect Gas Fire.
