1930s Complete Tiled Fireplace Brown and beige mottled tiled fireplace made in 1938. It has concave legs with skyscaper finger details in half inch cross-bonded sticks and ribbed opening tiles. It also has a large recess in the stepped frieze with diamond tile detailing and The original heath is missing but one can be made to suit. Although the top 4 previously damaged REX tiles have been replaced with Dark Mocha and there are a number of slightly cracked tiles this is an interesting and unusual fireplace.

1930s Art Deco All Tiled Fireplace A 1930s Art Deco all tiled fireplace and kerbed hearth in 2 contrasting shades of mottled brown tiles. The fireplace has stepped shoulders with inset ribbed mouldings and lowered central shelf made from a three stepped moulded block. The fire opening is framed by three stepped opening blocks and finished by the bottom row of tiles in the darker mottle. The pattern is repeated in the hearth with the raised edging tiles in the darker shade. Sizes Condition: GOOD |

The raised kerbing on the hearth is also glazed in a darker mottled tile to match the openings, the remainder is in a lighter beige/brown mottled glaze. Double Stepped 1930s All Tiled FireplaceAn interestingly modelled all tiled fireplace dating from the 1930's in two contrasting beige/brown mottled glazes. The hearth has a raised edge all round in the lighter cloured mottle with the recessed flat in the darker shades. The fire opening is also recessed and framed with ribbed blocks in the darker colour. The double stepped shoulders are progressively stepped back by the thickness of a tile as is the central frieze section with its zigguratmotif in the lighter mottle. The arch above the fireplace opening is made from ribbed, fan shaped, faience blocks revealing the Art Deco roots of this 1950s fireplace design. The whole fireplace and hearth is framed with a raised edging of 6 inch x 3 inch tiles sloping at the edges of the hearth to match the angled opening blocks.
